"You are so open..."

I had someone make this comment to me today. At the time, I didn't really think anything about it. Why shouldn't I be open? I am gay, that is all there is to it.

I know the person did not mean anything bad by the comment. I just find it interesting that a comment like that would even need to be made. Heterosexual folks don't have to be closeted, why should we? The only reason being gay has to be "the love the dare not speak its name" is because we choose to keep it that way.

I don't know...

Of course I am open. I had spent 40 years in the closet. I am SICK of the closet. So, I am not going back there just because some other people are not comfortable with their sexuality. Let them deal with their own problems and not put them on me.

Until I can get a closet like the one pictured above, I ain't going back!!

go dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tell it like it is.
its not necessarily OTHER people being comfortable with their sexuality as its more of a THREAT to them to see otherwise..
AND its all about control. SO many people are afraid to think outside the box, Its easier for them to live a LIE rather than face the truth. Most often people condemn others and situations they Dont understand, maybe thats why there is “ safety in numbers’ it confirms their existence which is a perfect example of “two wrongs dont make a right”

I am striving to stay out of the closet. In work, in life, in everything.

I don't always want to wave a flag, but sometimes I do! There problem, not mine.

A gift we can give is that we can be open.

I am sorry i haven't been in blog-land for a few days.
our new closet kind of looks like this one - minus the leopard skin.

It took me a moment to notice that the room was a closet. I was busy contemplating the possibilities for naughtiness on the leopard skin rug.
