Happy Coming Out Day!
Sometimes I feel like I am preaching to the choir here. The question is how do we get the message out to the people who need hear? How do we let the people at Exodus know that although they think they are helping people, they are just creating more problems? I don't know.
Happy Coming Out Day! We are children of God and we are loved!!

No, Ben, some of us are still in the congregation. Thank you for sharing this. It weighs heavily upon my heart.
God help me, I wasn't convinced by some ex-gay ministry to get married. I heard it from society, and the church - I definitely had a case of "the love that dared not speak its name." I'd had "gay=pansy=failure" drilled into me for so long that I just wasn't going there.
And my ex-wife is one of them who's feeling every bit of what these women feel. Thank God I didn't cave-in to her demands that we have kids before we separated - the damage (and the lineage) stops here.
Free at last, free at last - thank God almighty, we are free at last. But oh, the wreckage some of us have caused to achieve that freedom...
in this day and age, people in the closet at least know that resources and other people are out there. so the ones who want to come out will find the way.
